ARAIA IS AMAZING

Today we took the bus and went for a wonderful walk up the mountain of Araia. We followed the river up to the waterfall – it was beautiful! For refreshment we drank from the springs and dunked our heads into the water. On returning to Barria we ate a delicious and well deserved lunch before continuing with the afternoon activities. We learnt lots of different things about song writing, circus and first aid. For our last evening we had a disco - dancing all evening and taking photos with our friends, we had a ton of fun before the teachers sang us the ´please go to bed´song one last time!

Hoy cogimos el bus para dar un paseo maravilloso por los montes de Araia. Seguimos el río hacía arriba hasta llegar a una preciosa cascada. Para refrescarnos bebimos agua de la fuente y sumergimos nuestra cabeza en el agua del río. De vuelta a Barria comimos una merecida comida antes de comenzar con las actividades de la tarde. Aprendimos muchas cosas nuevas acerca de song writing, circus y first aid. Por nuestra última noche…disco time. Bailamos con nuestros amigos, nos sacamos fotos y cantamos con los profesores por última vez “please go to bed”.

Gaur autobusa hartu dugu ibilaldi polit bat egiteko Araiako mendi inguruetatik. Ibaia jarraitu dugu gora eta ur jauzi eder batera ailegatu gara. Ur freskoa edan dugu iturretik eta burua sartu dugu ibaian. Barriara bueltan bazkaria hartu fugu arratsaldeko ekintzetarako energia hartzeko. Gauza interesgarri anitz ikasi ditugu song writing, circus eta first aid inguruan. Gure azken gaua disco gaua izan da, argazkiak ateratzen, dantzan lagunekin eta gure irakasleekin “please go to bed” abestu dugu azkenengo aldiz.

WEDNESDAY...ECO DAY...SUNNY DAY!!!!!

Hello boys and girls!! Today we took part in different workshops for example photography, where we took some amazing photos. We also did a product design workshop where we came up with our own unique inventions, as well as this we created our dream catchers in the arts and crafts workshop, so we have become Dreamcatchers, hehehe!

After a delicious meal, as always here in Barria, we enjoyed a presentation about renewable energies, in which we found out about the importance of using our resources responsibly, if not we will destroy our lovely planet.

After dinner, we played the ´magic box´ game, where we had lot of fun with our native teachers and the tasks they had prepared for us. Some of them where really embarrassing… but we enjoyed them really.

Tomorrow we will go for a walk, the perfect opportunity to enjoy our amazing surroundings here in Alava.

¡ Hola chicos y chicas! Hoy hemos hecho diferentes actividades, por ejemplo, photography en donde hemos hecho unas fotos increíbles. También hemos producido nuestro propio diseño sobre un producto que hemos inventado, también hemos creado nuestros atrapadores de sueños en el taller de arts and crafts, asi que nos hemos convertido en Atrapadores de Sueños, jejeje!

Después de una deliciosa comdia, como siempre aquí en Barria, hemos disfrutado de la presentación sobre energías renovables, en la cual, nos hemos dado cuenta de la importancia del uso responsable de los recursos que tenemos, si no, destruiremos nuestro maravilloso planeta.

Después de cenar, hemos jugado al ya clásico magic box, nos lo hemos pasado genial con nuestros profesores nativos y las pruebas que nos han preparado para ello. Algunas de las pruebas eran muy difíciles, pero lo hemos pasado genial.

Mañana iremos al monte, la oportunidad perfecta para disfrutar del increíble entorno que tenemos aquí en Alava.

Kaixo neska mutilak! Gaur ekintza ezberdinak egin ditugu, photography izan da horietako bat eta argazki oso politak atera ditugu. Ondoren, gure proiektu pertsonala sortu dugu, guk asmatutako produktuen inguruan, baita, amets jasotzaileak sortu digutu, hortaz, Ametsjasotzaile bihurtu gara, kar, kar, kar!

Bazkari goxo baten ostean, betiko lez Barrian, energia berriztagarrien aurkezpena jaso dugu eta ohartu gara, naturaren errekurtsoak ondo erabiltzearen garrantziaz, bestela hain polita den gure  mundua, suntsituko dugu.

 Afalostean, ohitura bihurtu den magik box jokuaz gozatzeko parada izan dugu, primeran pasa dugu gure atzerritar irakasleekin eta hauek prestaturiko froga ezberdinekin. Horietako batzuk, sail xamar ziren, baina tira, primeran pasa dugu.

Bihar mendira joango gara, eta gure Araba lurraldeko paraje ederretaz gozatzeko aukera izango dugu.

A VERY BUSY DAY TODAY

Today we started our day well. First of all we went to Barria´s Eco Garden, where we learnt how to create our own garden whilst at the same time respecting the environment and considering some important aspects allowing us to grow healthy vegetables there. After that we planted some lettuces which is just the first step in growing a bigger garden.

In the afternoon we went for a walk in the forest. We found a variety of nice objects to use in our workshops and also we collected some man made rubbish, therefore taking care of the nature. You probably won´t believe it but we done a lot of things today, besides the eco activities we also made a film and a magazine as well as playing some dodgeball! We topped of the night with a very funny evening activity.

Hoy hemos empezado nuestro día muy bien. Para empezar hemos ido al Eco Garden de Barria donde aprendimos como podemos crear nuestro propio huerto al mismo tiempo que respetamos la naturaleza y cultivamos vegetables saludables. Después de esto plantamos unas lechugas teniendo en cuenta lo aprendido lo cual es solo el primer paso para poder crear un huerto mayor.

Por la tarde fuimos a dar un paseo al bosque. Encontramos una gran variedad de objetos interesantes para utilizar en nuestros talleres. Además recogimos basura arrojada por el hombre a la naturaleza porque sabemos que debemos cuidar nuestro entorno. Probablemente no os lo podéis creer pero hicimos un montón de cosas además de las ya mencionadas. Hicimos una revista y jugamos a dodgeball y finalizamos el día de una manera genial con una actividad muy divertida por la noche.

Gaurko eguna modu oso onean hasi dugu. Hasteko, Barriako Eco Gardenera joan gara eta bertan ingurua errespetatzen duen eta produktu osasuntsuak hazteko baratza ekologiko bat nola sortu dezakegun ikasi dugu. Ostean, letxuga bat landatu dugu ikusitakoa praktikan jarriz, horrela jarraitzen badugu ziur baratza handiago bate gin dezakegula.

Arratsaldean basora joan gara objektu desberdinak biltzera gure tailerretan erabiltzeko. Gainera, gizakiak botatako zaborra ere jaso dugu gure ingurugiroa zaindu behar baitugu. Ziurrenik ezin duzuela sinetsi baina esandakoaz gain gauza gehiago egin ditugu gaur. Aldizkari bat,  dodgeballera jolastu eta eguna modu paregabean bukatu dugu gaueko ekintzarekin.

WELCOME EVERYBODY MERCEDARIAS!

Hello Mercedarias! We are very happy to welcome you to beautiful Barria! Today we started to get to know each other with some introduction games and had lots of fun in the sun, taking part in a massive treasure hunt. Later this afternoon we talked about different emotions and took some funny photographs, dressing up and pulling faces for the camera! We also made scrap books which we will use as a diary to keep our memories and the things we learn this week. In the evening we had a dance competition – we all got our best dance moves out to impress the amazing judges! After a wonderful first day we are very excited to be spending  the rest of this week at Barria!

Poz pozik gaude zuek gure artean izateaz, pareje ederra den Barria honetan!Gaur egunari hasiera eman diogu ezagutza jolas batzuekin eta primeran pasa dugu, baita Treasure hunt jolas handian jolasten. Arratsalde partean, emozio ezberdinak landu ditugu eta oso argazki politak atera ditugu, mozorratu gara eta emozioak adierazitako aurpegia jarri izan dugu argazkian. Baita scrap book-a egin ere, hau, aste osoan zehar erabiliko dugu, horrela ikasitakoa idazteko eta gertakizunak ere. Gaubelan, dantza lehiaketa egin dugu eta gure dantzarik ikusgarrienak egin ditugu epileen onarpena lortu nahiean. Gure lehenengo egunaren ostean, irrikitan gaude aste osoa hemen, Barrian egoteko!!

¡Hola Mercedarias! ¡Estamos felices de teneros aquí en semejante paraje como Barria! Hoy hemos empezado haciendo unos juegos para así conocernos un poco mejor entre todas y nos lo hemos pasado genial al sol, también hemos jugado al gran Treasure hunt. A la tarde hemos trabajado diferentes emociones y nos hemos sacado unas fotos muy chulas, disfrazándonos y escenificando las caras de diferentes sentimientos. También hemos hecho el scrap book, que lo usaremos como diario para escribir los acontecimientos y lo que aprendamos durante la semana. A la noche, hemos participado en la competición de baile – hemos bailado lo mejor posible para…¡ impresionar a los jueces! Después del primer día, estamos deseando pasar el resto de la semana ¡aquí en Barria!

Today we have we had our last day in Eco School, we had a quite nice week with all of you.  This morning we improved our dancing skills with a marvellous Scottish Dance. Here you have some pictures to enjoy like us.

Hoy hemos tenido nuestro último día en Eco School después una semana genial con todos vosotros. Esta mañana mejoramos nuestras habilidades de baile con una maravillosa Scottish Dance. Aquí tenéis unas fotos para que las disfrutéis como lo hemos hecho nosotros.

Gaur Eco Schoolen gure azken eguna izan dugu aste ikaragarria pasa ostean zuekin. Dantzan ibili gara goizean,  zoragarria izan da gure irakasleak erakutsitako Scottish Dance! Hemen dauzkazue zenbait argazki guk egin dugu bezala hauek ikusten disfrutatzeko.

Eskerrik asko Lautada Ikastola zuen jarrera eta erakutsitako grinagatk. Laster elkar ikustea espero dugu! Ikasturte ona izan! Onena opa dizuegu Barriatik…

OUTING TO ARAIA

Today we took the bus and went on a sunny outing to the mountain of Araia. After walking up the mountain we saw how the water bubbles up from underneath the ground to make a beautiful waterfall. We arrived back to Barria and ate a much deserved lunch – a wonderful fishy feast! In the afternoon we had a lot of fun learning about circus, songwriting and first aid. We finally got to see the amazing photos and films that we made earlier in the week – they were so funny! We spent our final night at Barria playing disco games and with the lightpainting it was the best!

Hoy hemos cogido el autobús para disfrutar del soleado día en los montes de Araia. Durante el paseo hemos visto como se ha creado una hermosa cascada con el agua que se derrite de los montes de alrededor. Nos lo pasamos muy bien disfrutando de la naturaleza y compartiendo experiencias y conversaciones con nuestros profesores. Cuando llegamos a Barria tuvimos una más que merecida comida, ¡qué rico el pescado! Por la tarde tuvimos muchas clases divertidas circus, songwriting y first aid. Para finalizar vimos las fotos de la semana y el vídeo que grabamos esta semana ¡qué divertido! Pasamos nuestras última noche en la disco con unos juegos muy animados y lightpainting ¡fue lo mejor!

Gaur autobusa hartu dugu Araiara gerturatzeko bertan goiz eguzkitsuaz gozatzeko. Ibilaldian ikusi dugu nola ur jauzi ikaragarria sortu den inguruan urtzen diren elurrak direla eta. Ikaragarri ondo pasa dugu gure irakasleekin hizketan eta inguruaz gozatzen. Barriara bueltan ondo merezitako bazkaria izan dugu, zein gozoa arraina! Arratsaldean ekintza oso interesgarriak izan ditugu circus, songwriting eta first aid. Eguna bukatzeko asteko argazkiak ikusi ditugu eta baita asteartean grabatutako filma, zein ona! Azken gaua diskotekan jolasak egiten, dantzan eta lightpaintingarekin, zein ondo!

SOLAR ENERGY, THE NEXT HOT TREND!!

Today, we had an Eco day, during which we took part in different workshops, like, recycling, photography, story bird, arts and crafts and so on.

We enjoyed the renewable energy workshop with our friend Luis. We learnt how to use solar energy and we all were surprised about all the different ways that we can get energy from the sun, amazing! We were also etching using the energy of the sun, we tried boiling water and we played with solar cars. We realised that you can have fun using the sun and reusing different materials.

Tomorrow we are going to the mountains, hopefully the weather will be nice again, and we can have a nice walk. We all are having a blast here in Barria, tomorrow it will be the penultimate day, which makes us feel sad…

Hoy hemos tenido un Eco day en el cual hemos hecho diferentes talleres, como, recycling, photgraphy, sotory bird, arts and crafts…

Hemos difrutado mucho la charla con nuestro amigo Luis. Hemos aprendido como usar la energia solar y nos hemos sorprendidos de como se puede conseguir energía solar y de cuantas maneras,¡increíble! Hemos escrito quemando madera y utilizando la energía solar, hemos intentado hervir agua y hemos jugado con los coches solares. Nos hemos dado cuenta de con que poco y reutilizado, lo bien que se lo pasa uno con un poco de sol.

Mañana iremos al monte, ójala tengamos buen tiempo otra vez y podamos disfrutar de un bonito paseo. Nos lo estamos pasando bomba aquí en Barria, y mañana será el penúltimo día y nos entristece…

Eguzki indarra nola erabili ikasi dugu, eta, harritutak gelditu gara zenbat bide dauden eguzki energia erablitzeko ikusi dugunean, ikaragarria! Eguzki izpiak erabilita idatzi dugu egur batean, saiatu gar aura bor borean jartzen eta eguzki kotxeekin jolastu dugu. Primeran egoteko, zein gutxi behar denaz ohartu gara, berrerabilitako materiala eta eguzkia soilik.

Bihar mendira goaz, espero dugu egun zoragarria berriro ere izatea eta ibilaldiaz gozatzea. Primeran gaude hemen Barrian eta bihar azkenaurreko eguna izango da, horrek trite jartzen gaitu…
