SUNNY AND FUNNY DAY IN ECO SCHOOL!!!!!!!

A hot and sunny day here in Barria! We took advantage of the sunshine to take some beautiful pictures of Barria, the surroundings and of course, each other, in our photography workshop.  But don’t worry, we didn’t stay in the heat for too long!

We also took part in our arts and crafts class, making our own dream catchers to ward off any nightmares. As well as being creative, we got competitive in the music workshop where we managed to break the Barria record for getting the most words correct to a song!! Go Olabide!!

 We topped off the night with a fun evening activity where we did some embarrassing and funny tasks! Ahaha! 

Egun eguzkitsua eta beroa Barrian! Eguzkiaz baliatu gara argazki ikaragarri politak egiteko Barriako inguruneaz eta nola ez gure artekoak ere, atera ditugu photgrapy ekintzan. Ez kezkatu, ez gara egon egun osoan eguzkitan!

Arts and Crafts ekintzaz gozatu dugu ere, gure amets jasotzailea egiten, horrela gure ametsgaiztoak baztertuz.  Sormena landuz aparte, song writing ekintza egin dugu, non abestien hitzak asmatu behar izan ditugu horrela Barriako errekorra haustu nahiean ibili gara. Eutsi Olabide!

Eguna, gaueko ekintzarekin bukatu dugu, proba ezberdinak egiten eta hauetako batzuk oso dibertigarriak izan dira, beste batzuk ordea nahiko zailak!!kar, kar, kar!

¡Día caluroso y soleado en Barria! Hemos aprovechado el  sol para sacar unas fotos preciosas de Barria, sus paisajes y como no, entre nosostras en el taller de photography. No os preocupéis, ¡¡no hemos estado al sol todo el tiempo!!

También hemos participado en el taller de arts and crafts, realizando nuestro atrapa sueños para protegernos de cualquier pesadilla. Además de ser creativos, hemos competido en el taller de song writing intentando descifrar el máximo de palabras en las canciones, para así superar el record de Barria.¡Aupa Olabide!

Hemos finalizado con la actividad de la noche en la que hemos realizado unas pruebas.........¡muy divertidas y atrevidas!¡Jejeje!

What a wonderful day! Spring has come to say hello. In Eco Garden today we saw all the blooming flowers of the fruit trees and smelt the aromas of the herbs.

After lunch, we went on a Nature Trail to the forest- where we played a Sense Awareness game. One by one our friends blindfolded us, spun us around and then lead us to a tree. Touching the tree, we had to memorize its features and then identify it when the blind fold was removed!! We really felt the nature!! 

On the way back we found families of caterpillars crawling out from the long grass in lines, they were very cute, small, orange and fuzzy. Let’s hope that they get where they are going safely!!

A super spring day!

La primavera ha llegado para decirnos hola. Hoy en Eco Garden hemos visto cómo están floreciendo las flores de los árboles frutales del huerto, también hemos disfrutado de los olores de las plantas aromáticas.

Por la tarde fuimos a dar un paseo al bosque donde jugamos a un juego de Conciencia Sensorial. Uno a uno nos fuimos tapando los ojos y con ayuda de los compañeros llegamos hasta un árbol para tocarlo. Después nos alejaron de este lugar y nos destaparon los ojos para poder buscar ahora con la mirada el árbol que estuvimos tocando. ¡Realmente pudimos sentir la naturaleza!

En el camino de vuelta encontramos familias enteras de orugas saliendo por las hierbas del camino eran muy bonitas, pequeñas, naranjas y peludas. Esperamos que hayan llegado a su destino a salvo.

¡Un día genial de primavera!

Udaberria iritsi da gu agurtzeko. Gaur Eco Garden ekintzan fruta-arbolen loreak loratzen ikusi ditugu zoragarri eta baita landare aromatikoen usainaz gozatu dugu gure baratzan.

Arratsaldean basotik ibilaldi txiki bat egitera joan gara, bertan, Kontzientzia Sentsorial ekintza batean aritu gara. Banaka begiak estali ditgu eta gelakideen laguntzaz zuhaitz batera gerturatu gara ikutzeko. Gero, hortik urrundu gaituzte eta begien estalkia kendu dugunean, orain bai gure ikusmena erabiliz, aurretik ukitu dugun zuhaitza topatzen saiatu gara. Benetan bai natura sentitu dugu.

Barriara bueltan beldar familia osoak topatu ditugu bide inguruko belarretatik ateratzen. Oso politak, txikiak, laranja koloreak eta iletsuak ziren. Espero dugu haien helmugara salbu iritsi izana.

WELCOME OLABIDE!! SUNNY MONDAY!!

Hello everybody!!Welcome to Eco School, Olabide! We had our first day in Barria and we had fun with our native teachers. They are from Scotland, England and Wales and they had taught us how to say hello in different styles in English.

We made our scrap book and we took a photo for the wall of fame. We played a treasure hunt game to earn the words to our secret messages. We had a nice first day here the weather was amazing today. Spring has come to Barria!

Tomorrow we will tell you more stories about our time out here in the countryside! 

 !Hola a todas y bienvenidas a Eco School, Olabide! Hemos pasado nuestro primer día en Barria y nos lo hemos pasado en grande con nuestros profesores nativos. Estos son de Escocia, Inglaterra y Gales y nos han enseñado a decir hola de diferentes maneras en inglés.

Hemos hecho nuestro “Scrap Book” y nos hemos sacado una foto en el “Wall of Fame”. Hemos jugado al “treasure hunt” y hemos ganado las palabras del mensaje secreto. Hemos pasado un primer día muy a gusto, el tiempo ha sido maravilloso, ¡la primavera ha llegado a Barria!

¡Mañana os contaremos más anécdotas sobre nuestra experiencia aquí en este precioso entorno! 

Kaixo guztioi eta ongi etorri Eco School-era Olabide! Gure lehenengo eguna pasa dugu Barrian eta primeran pasa dugu gure irakasle natiboekin. Hauek, Eskoziakoak, Inglaterrakoak eta Galesekoak dira eta kaixo ingeleraz esateko era ezberdinak erakutsi digute.

Gure "Scrap Book”-a egin dugu eta argazki bat atera “Wall of Fame”ean ere. Arratsaldean Treasure Hunt jolasaz gozatzeko aukera izan dugu eta honen mezu sekretua lortzeko ere. Lehenengo eguna oso ondo egon da, gainera, udaberria heldu da Barriara!

Laster arte Olabide! Eskerrik asko aste hau gurekin elkartrukatzeagatik aste ona izan dugu zuekin batera filmak grabatzen, dantzan eta kontzeptu berriak ikasten naturaren inguruko gure ekintzetan. Zuekin batera ingelesez hitz egiten eta ondo pasatzen aste ezinhobea izan dugu! Goraintziak, zaindu eta faltan botako zaituztegu!

¡Hasta pronto Olabide! Gracias por compartir esta maravillosa semana con nosotros hemos tenido una muy buena semana grabando vídeos, bailando y aprendiendo nuevos en las actividades de naturaleza. ¡Hablando inglés y pasándolo bien hemos tenido una semana espectacular! Os deseamos lo mejor y os echaremos de menos.

WE SAW A BEAUTIFUL WATERFALL IN ARAIA

Today we went on an outing to Araia. We walked up a mountain, saw a beautiful waterfall and some amazing views. We had a good chance to ask our native teachers about their countries´ culture and lifestyle. In the afternoon we did some more activities including song writing, circus and first aid. We had a day full of fun. If I had to highlight the best moment it would be watching the film we made on Tuesday. It was brilliant!

For our final night we had a disco with our favourite songs, a lot of dancing, and more fun!

Hoy hemos ido de excursión a Araia donde caminamos por la montaña y vimos una hermosa cascada rodeada de unas vistas increíbles. Tuvimos una oportunidad genial de poder preguntarles a nuestros profesores  sobre su cultura y su forma de vida así como sobre sus lugares de origen. Por la tarde tuvimos más actividades como song writing, circus y first aid. Hemos tenido un día lleno de diversión. Si tuviera que elegir el mejor momento del día ha sido cuando hemos visto editado el corto que grabamos el martes. 

¡Es genial nuestro corto!

Y por la noche hemos tenido disco con nuestras canciones favoritas, bailes y más diversión.

Araiara non menditik ibilaldi ederra egin dugun. Bertan ingurugiroak eskaintzen dituen bazter miresgarriak gozatu ditugu, esateko urez gainezka zegoen urjauzia. Aukera izugarria izan dugu gure irakasleei galderak egiteko haien jaioterri eta bizimoaduaren inguruan. Arratsaldean ekintza gehiago izan ditugu song writing, circus eta first aid. Dibertsioz beteriko eguna izan dugu! Hala ere, momenturik hoberena aukeratu beharko banu zalantzarik gabe asteartean grabatutako filma ikusi dugun momentu bera aukeratuko nuke. Ikaragarria gure filma!

Gauen diskoan gure abestirik gustukoenekin, dantzak eta dibertsio gehiago.

 MAKING DREAM CATCHERS

Wow!!Today we have done so many workshops in Eco School! First, we enjoyed  time with Jess and her photography workshop, after, we had fun with Phoebe, she is amazingly good making dream catchers . We also created our own newspaper with some different news that we had invented, it was so creative, Gavin was helping us.  With Josh, we  played dodge ball, we had fun and we got very competitive.

Luis our friend came to Barria and he spoke about renewable energies, we were listening very carefully and learnt a lot of new concepts about it, we liked it!

In the evening, we enjoyed the magic box, with Josh and Gavin, they made us do difficult tasks, some of them were so funny but others were a little bit embarrassing.  We all had a lot of fun together playing and laughing!

Tomorrow, we will go to Araia for a walk!! We are looking forward for walking!!!

 ¡Wow!Hoy hemos tenido un día repleto de talleres en Eco School! Primero, hemos disfrutado con Jess del taller de photography, después, nos lo hemos pasado genial con nuestra fantástica Phoebe y su destreza para hacer atrapa sueños .Hemos creado nuestro propio periódico donde hemos trabajado nuestra creatividad para inventarnos las noticias, Gavin nos ha ayudado con ello. Con Josh hemos jugado al balón quemado, nos lo hemos pasado en grande jugando todos y todas juntos.

Nuestro amigo Luis ha venido  hoy a Barria y nos ha hablado sobre energías renovables, le hemos escuchado atentamente y hemos aprendido nuevos conceptos sobre ello, nos ha encantado.

A la noche hemos jugado al a caja mágica con Josh y Gavin, nos han hecho unas pruebas muy difíciles y alguna que otra un tanto embarazosa. Nos lo hemos pasado genial todos juntos y riéndonos un montón.

Mañana iremos a Araia para dar un paseo por el monte¡estamos deseando de que llegue mañana!

Wow! Gure egunkari propioa sortu dugu gure irudimena landuz eta berriak asmatzen, Gavin izan dugu laguntzaile. Joshekin baloi errean aritu gara, oso ondo pasa dugu guztiok elkarrekin jolasten.

Gure laguna den Luis, Barriara etorri da gaurkoan eta energia berriztagarrien ingurko hitzadliaz gozatzeko aukera izan dugu, kontzeptu dexente ikasi ditugu eta pilo gustatu zaigu.

Gauean kutxa magikoa egin dugu Gavin eta Joshekin, froga ezberdinak egin dizkigute, batzuk oso zailak eta beste batzuk komprometitu xamar. Primeran pasa dugu guzitok elkarrekin eta barre asko egin ditugu.

Bihar Araiara goaz, inguruneko mendietaz gozatzeko, irrikitan gaude biharko irteeraz gozatzeko!!

OUR NATURE KNOWLEDGE WAS CONSOLIDATED...

Today was jam packed with activities! First off we met the resident Eco- Garden expert Maria, who with Jess, taught us all about creating our own gardens using intelligent watering systems so that we can make our own urban vegetable patches in the city, where garden space comes at a premium. We also became film stars for the day in our Film Making activity. See you at the Oscars! Our nature knowledge was consolidated when we went into the forest on a trail.

We had fun seeking certain natural objects such as sticks, leaves, pinecones and seeds, as well hunting down any manmade rubbish that we could lay our hands on, which we later found a home for in Barria´s recycle bins.

ECO GARDEN

Hoy hemos tenido un día lleno de actividades. Para comenzar conocimos a la experta en Eco-Garden Maria quien nos enseñó junto con Jessica cosas relacionadas sobre cómo podemos crear nuestros propios huertos utilizando un sistema inteligente para regar. Con esta información podremos hacer un huerto en la ciudad donde tener uno se convierte en un auténtico privilegio. También nos convertimos en estrellas de cine por un día en la actividad Film Making. 

¡Nos vemos en los Oscars! Nuestros conocimientos sobre la naturaleza los consolidamos dando un paseo por el bosque. Nos divertimos buscando diferentes objetos naturales como palos, hojas, piñas y semillas al mismo tiempo recogimos basura arrojada por el hombre y encontramos un mejor sitio para ponerla… Las papeleras para reciclar de Barria.

NATURE TRAIL

Gaur ekintzaz beteriko eguna izan dugu Barrian. Eguna hasteko Eco Gardeneko arduradunarekin, Maria eta Jessica gure irakaslearekin egon gara eta haiekin gure baratza ekologikoa nola sortu dezakegun ikasi dugu. Landareak ureztatzeko sistema inteligentea erakutsi digute eta orain daukagun informazioarekin gure baratza ekologikoa sortu ditzakegu hirian bertan! Gainera cinema izarraka bilakatu gara egun batez Film making ekintzan. Oscar sarietan elkar ikusiko dugu! 

Naturaren inguruan gauza gehiago ikasi ditugu basotik zehar egindako ibilalditxoan. Ederki pasa dugu gauza desberdinen bila makilak, hostoak eta haziak bezala. Aldi berean, gizakiak ingurura botatako zenbait zabor zatiak topatu ditugu, hauentzat toki aproposagoa topatu dugu…Barriako birzikla ontziak
